Burning Feeling inside??

Had my Hysterectomy (Vaginally) last Tuesday- all has been pretty good- very minimal bleeding, they did not pack me and I've not worn any pads at all.
Last night I told DH that it 'burns' a little up inside... plan to call doctor as soon as they open, but wondered if anyone else has experienced this......
Thanks!

Burning Feeling inside??

I'm guessing it has to do with maybe some irritation? I mean that area was traumitized. I had my TVH on 10/23.

calling your dr is always a good thing though because it might be the start of an infection., like a UTI..

Burning Feeling inside??

I am 8 weeks out today and still have some burning on my right side where my ovary used to be. My ovary has been out for 3 years though, so I don't know what's causing it. I would call the doctor. I can't hurt anything.

Burning Feeling inside??

I had burning last night. Almost feels like you can feel the heat from the out side. Still using ice every now and then for the swelling towards the evening. I am starting my 5th week post-op . I go to the drs. today for my 1st post-op visit.Feeling very anxious and scared. I heard they actually perform an exam like a pelvic exam on you to see how your insides are healing. That just makes me want to cringe. Has any one else already been for their post op? And did it hurt? (silly question, huh? ) I will probably be sore when I get home. I am out of percocets and I guess if I am sore, I will take some x-strenght Tylenol.

Burning Feeling inside??

Good idea calling the doctor. It could very well be a yeast infection. They do usually give you antibiotics in your IV at the castle. Also with everything that has happened down there you don't want to chance an infection. I hope you get the answers you need and find relief soon. Let us know how it turns out.

Burning Feeling inside??

I had a 2 week, 4 week, and 6 weeks post op and I was checked internally every time. He wasn't going to do it at the 2 week, but I had some funky stuff going on down there and he checked for infection. I ended up on antibiotics for 10 days. That check was really painful, but again, I had an infection and he didn't really want to examine me, but had no choice. The 4-week hurt too, but not as much. By the 6 week check, it only hurt a little when he was manipulating the vaginal cuff, but I heal slowly. It may not hurt at all for you.

good luck. It does kinda sound like a yeast infection. I can't believe I managed to escape that one for a change! I don't heal from those well either. It usually takes 3 doses of diflucan in a week's time to get rid of.
