Surgical Menopause

Hi Ladies-
Just trying to get an idea of how long it took for people to feel like themselves after surgical menopause. I am 3 months out and definitely not there yet!
Thanks

fld,
Surgical menopause is when one has the ovaries removed. When the ovaries are removed you are put into instant menopause!

Surgical Menopause

So far it's not at all what I expected 4 weeks after. No HRT for me either. I get warm flashes 5 - 7 times a day. . .they last for 2 - 5 minutes and are mildly uncomfortable unless I'm busy in which case I barely notice them. I get hot at night anyway so I don't even notice them really.

I don't sleep well and the most annoying thing so far. . .horrible dryness and flakiness on my forehead! I've never had this before. I'm contemplating seeing a dermatologist.

If the dryness and flakiness are the worst, well I'm a happy lady!
