Upcoming surgery

Hello everyone, I just signed up for this great site and not sure I am in the right area. Please let me know.

I am scheduled for Nov. 30 for TAH and appreciate seeing some of my questions answered and also what to expect. Haven't been in a hospital other than to work and now the tables are being turned and I am scared silly.

Where ever you decide to start, you'll meet some really wonderful women who are all here for the soul purpose of support, understanding, and sharing experiences and knowledge. I'm glad you found us, and hope that this site will be helpful to you in planning and recovery.

My surgery is the same date too! I know how you feel...one minute I'm ok and the next minute I'm crying. I wish all the sisters who havent gone yet to the castle, the best of luck. I'll keep you in my prayers...together we can overcome our fears, worries and sadness. Take care and don't forget to pamper the princess!

Upcoming Surgery

Just remember that people post cause they have a problem sometimes so that is what we read.
I am 1 week out and am up moving around down to only a couple tylonols a day and never even filled my prescription pain pills.
I do take ibuprofin for swelling cause that is when my pain starts.
I don't do well with narcotics so couldn't have the morphine or anything after. They tried percaset 1st night and oops guess i know why I don't do drugs LOL it kinda made me spun and I hated the feeling.

I had TAH but kept overies. ( does that make it a total still)
My insision was glued so never had staples or stitches to take out.
It is very bruiesed in the area I am a bit fluffy as they say on this board ( fat) soI assume they had to really pull that out of way. Under my insision my hair area is also very puffy and today and yesterday has a weird tingly sensation that I figure is just nerves regererating or waking up. Not horrible pain just pins and needles feeling.
I have been up and out each day. City and walmart one day. Yesterday to town and today to myjob to pick up a paper. I have to go back to town later to drop off employment benefits just waiting on mail.

Don't panic is what I am trying to say Lots and lots of these surgeries go without a hitch

I am also a member of the November surgeries.
I was not nervous when I found out I had to have the surgery (TAH/BSO) but now as the day draws closer I am really scared.
