Test results :(
Hi ladies,
I just talked to the doc about the test results from my colonscopy and MRI's. Well, everything is normal. I know I should be happy but that still doesn't explain why I hurt so darn bad and feel so awful. I did tell the doctor this. And all my bloodwork was normal too. He did say that the pancreas thing was just that I have a larger than normal pancreas. The spot on the liver was very very small and the doctor that interprets the tests recommends following up in 3 or 4 months.
The doctor said we need to do the endoscopy and the small bowel series and than we will get together and discuss everything. He was very very nice, and stated that we will get to the bottom of this.
So I've rescheduled my small bowel series for Friday July 20th and the Endoscopy for Tuesday at noon.
I'm just so darn frustrated, I was really hoping that the tests would show something, anything. But than again if it's adhesions, I guess it really wouldn't. But I guess I shouldn't be second guessing the doctor and trying to make my own diagnosis.
Guess I'm back to the waiting game.

Dearheart,
I'm sorry that you feel deflated...but I can totally understand why. It's that darned waiting game. I wish, hope and pray that your upcoming tests will show something...something treatable so you can feel good again.
Your doc does sound amazing though. The fact that he said that he wants to get to the bottom of this, is rather refreshing. If these tests come back negative, will you pursue the adhesions route? I know the thought of another surgery was not a very pleasant one for me, but its nice to know what I'm up against, even if its not great news ~ Do ya know what I mean I guess its back to the couch I go, but before I go to sleep, I'm going to have a long talk with the big guy upstairs, and ask Him to help you...

Aw, thanks Judy. Let me know if you get an answer from the big guy
If it should by chance turn out to be adhesions, I'm not scared of another surgery. I just want to feel better, so if surgery is needed than that is what I will do. I want want to be me again!
back at you my friend. Now go

Oh, cher, hang in there. I know it's frustrating. You know something's wrong somewhere, so of course it would be better for the FIRST test to turn it up than the LAST one. (But then again, after they find it they'll stop testing). I'm glad your doctor is hanging in there with you and not dismissing your concerns. I hope you get to the bottom of this soon.

Oh boy, how frustrating........I know what it feels like to want the tests to show something, anything so it can be treated and the pain will go away.....and as far as 2nd guessing the dr and self diagnosing.....well I know that I do my fair share of that too, remember we know our bodies better then anyone else!!
Your dr sounds like he's determined to get you better, and totally believes that you are in pain.....that's a huge bonus........all we have to do is try and be patient I guess and hope that the next series of tests shows something......got my fingers crossed for ya kiddo!!
I am greatly relieved that there is nothing wrong with your pancreas or liver.....I was worried for ya
Here comes a big Kim, hang in there we'll get through this somehow and we'll all do it together !!

 s s back to everyone!
So far I do like this doctor as he is not just dismissing my pain as so many others have done. On our first visit I did mention adhesions and he did say that was a possibility but we need to do some testing first. So guess I just need to be patient and keep hoping that this doc holds the answers for me.
Y'all are truly Who would've thought 2 years ago that I would be on this Road but it has brought me some great friends and sisters.

Support for you
Dear Kim,
I sure understand how you are feeling. The waiting is just awful and the feeling lousy all the time can make it so difficult to focus on anything else. But I have great faith that you will soon find healing. There can't be that many more tests left right? Once these tests are thourgh you will be closer to the well-being you deserve. It seems like we are all going through this right now and I pray each day that all of the sisters will be able to regain a better quality of life. I have to wait til Aug for the surgery, it's amazing to me how many people are having gyn surgery in the summer, and I'm scared now that what if it doesn't even help. Surely this road ends. My heart is with you.
Love, Light, Blessings

Kim, dear, I'm so sorry you still don't have any answers. I know how frustrating this can be and I wish you could get some pain relief.
I really believe all my "gut" problems are adhesions since nothing else ever shows up and IBS has been ruled out. I agree with you on the surgery. I really don't mind surgery again if I knew it would help, but these darn adhesions just keep coming back within a few months and right back at square one. It is always the right side too - the left side is usually fine. It is so irritating!
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I sincerely hope that one of your tests reveals something that can be "fixed" easily so that you can enjoy life again and feel good. I'm so very sorry you are still on this long road, but your support and encouragement has been such a blessing to so many others. Don't ever forget that - we love ya!
