my legs feel heavy...is this normal 5 days out

I had a tvh 5 days ago and i feel pretty good. But i am tired and at times my legs feel heavy. Has anyone felt that way? It seems weird to me but maybe it is normal. I am afraid of blood clots.

I am incredibly afraid of blood clots as there's a history of them on my mother's side of the family. The bad part is that deep vein thrombosis can have absolutely no symptoms as well as the regular ones like swelling, pain, redness, cording, hot to touch, etc., so each time I feel a pain in them...and I've had a lot of cramping in my leg since my hysterectomy, I freak out. I even went to have one of those doppler ultrasounds on my legs a couple days out of the hospital. Everything was fine but the last couple days my leg feels all strange again, called up the doctor last nite around midnite and she figured I didn't have a clot and to come in tomorrow and get some bloodwork done as my electrolytes might be out of whack. I did have some bloodwork done because of them earlier as I figured perhaps my potassium was low - but that came back fine as well. She also suggested I start wearing support hose - so I'm going to mention that to my doctor tomorrow at my 6-week checkup.

I would say it is best that you call up your doctor, without delaying, and let them know what you've been feeling.

At five days post op my everything felt heavy! But you should call your doctor just for peace of mind. Are you walking around the house?I know my doctor was very clear that I had to keep walking so that clots would not form.Don't be afraid to call your doc and ask questions that is why they are there!Keep us posted,
