Looks like I have Interstitial Cystitis
I had hydrodestention and cystocopy yesterday. I ddin't talk to the urologist, my husband did. I go back to him tomorrow to discuss treatment options. He doesn't want to "formally" diagnose me with IC yet, but I have a lot of the symptoms. He said my bladder is not holding much and not emptying all the way. I also have red lesions inside my bladder wall, and my bladder lining is stiff and "thick". My aunt has IC and I have Lupus, so this is not really surprising.

Looks like I have Interstitial Cystitis
My urogyn diagnosed me with IC based on symptoms...but also with the red spots on my bladder. Good luck with everything, and let us know what you find out!

I have it too. Have had it for at least 4 years and didn't even know it.
I had the scope with dilation.
I wish you the best!

Looks like I have Interstitial Cystitis
I have suffered from IC ever since my hysterectomy 6 years ago. I comes in varying forms from discomfort to a high level of pain. I have had the 'treatment' distention and I did not feel it gave me any relief. I would be interested to know if there others who suffer from this and if they have any suggestions or treatments that have worked for them.
Thank you
Gwen

Looks like I have Interstitial Cystitis
I had a TAH/LSO on 10/23 and ever since then, I've notice I am constantly peeing. I do drink a lot of water, milk, and cranberryjuice(the last 2 only since my surgery am I craving them). I also am experiencing a lot of hip pain! So much so I called and asked for meds to help w/ pain. I usually don't whine or complain @ pain, came home from surgery w/ 600 mg Motrin only.
Could anyone describe there symptoms to me and I'm also going to check out the website DoLo1 recommended. Thanks, I don't know where I'd be w/out ALL OF THE HYSTER SISTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like I have Interstitial Cystitis
It's a Wonderful website....lots and lots of information!! Symptoms vary from person to person. That's one reason it's overlooked so much!
For me, I have had back pain for the last 3-4 years....that was the reason I ended up going to see my ob/gyn...thought it might be female related. Long story short, I did have problems and had a hyster, but the back pain stayed with me. Turns out it is caused from the IC.
I too had terrible hip pain...even feet pain.
I am taking a med that controls the spasms, I've been about 2 1/2 wks with little to no back pain now!!

What meds did the dr put you on to stop the spasms? I'm on Ditropan and it does not seem to be working.

Looks like I have Interstitial Cystitis
Well, since my bladder burch surgery I have had issues, a few UTI's mucus in my urine while taking the meds, and the kicker was a few dark tissues in my urine. I had my OB do a test on my bladder.. she wanted me to come in with a FULL bladder... so I voided in the hat, at 400cc's I felt empty, she came in the room in 10 min and I had to go again she says did you fell empty when you voided 10 min ago? I said yes, and then she did a cat void and cath'd at 750 cc, not good at all, I will be seeing a urologist next. Not sure what to expect..I DONT WANT MORE SURGERY!!! That website at www.ic/ didnt open for me anyone know it? thanks much
