Hi my surgery date is fast approaching and I am getting nervous. I have noticed I am having more pain and intermittent bleeding the past few days. Is that normal?? any help/pointers you can give will be welcome

Surgery fast approaching

Hi! I have been living with fibroids and heavy periods for years and as I get closer to my surgery date I've noticed my periods are getting closer and I am experiencing more pain. I don't know if this is the reason for your surgery, but with the increased symptoms I feel even more justified to have the surgery. (Jan 15 '08) I wish you all the best!!!

Surgery fast approaching

My surgery is the day before yours and I am having similar symptoms. I will be watching to see what responses you get to your question. I have been using a heating pad for the pain since I was told that I couldn't use advil until after surgery now. Are you "nesting" too?? I have been having the need to get organized, do all my Christmas shopping, and clean the house...I guess it's all because of nerves.

Surgery fast approaching

I had a TVH on Novmeber 19th and feel 100 times better than I did before surgery. The surgery was really not very painful at all. When you have all that pain and bleeding, just remember that after your surgery you will never have to deal with it again!!!! Good luck to all of you.

Surgery fast approaching

This is to weird, I thought for sure that my uterus knows that I am getting rid of everything and it is attacking me. I have been bleeding since I had my biopsy and then I started on Thursday, heavier than I have ever had and I cannot stand my back. Tylenol is not working and I have been using a heating pad. I was telling the girls at work that this solidifies that I am making the right move. I went to my pre op workup today and pre registration. 10 days to go and looking forward to it.

Surgery Fast approaching

Gina -

I am getting ready to start my period (for the LAST time - yahooo) and thought my pre-mens symptoms seemed worse than ever! Maybe it is nerves, etc. I also bleed longer than I thought I would after my biopsy - had one several years and barely bleed - this time it was a mini-period!

This time in 3 weeks I will be laying in the Castle post-op! I am nervous but know it is the right decision. Pre-op appointment is tomorrow morning.

PS - noticed your name included Scorpio - I am also a Scorpio (B-day is 10/31/66)

Surgery fast approaching

My surgery is Thursday and even though I haven't had a period for 4 months(due to the depo shot) I still am having pain. It feels like I could start anytime and then the last time my DH and I were intimate it hurt.
I just want this to be done and over with!
