6 mths post op - intercourse pain???

I am 6 mths post op, 34 yrs old & experiencing some intense pain with intercourse. It feels like my husband is hitting a wall. I go back to dr. in Jan. Anyone else having this problem? My husband is very suppportive of me & very concerned about me. HELP!!!

I'm sorry you're having difficulty in this area. There are usually answers out there, so don't lose heart. I noticed you don't have your surgery information entered in your profile. It would help us help you better if we could see exactly what you've had done. It's quick and easy to do if you go to the Quick Links up above here, to the right, in the purple bar. From that drop down menu choose Edit profile. It will help us help you better if we know if you have your ovaries or not and what type of surgery you had done.

I can share that I know it can take a little time for the tissue in the vagina to regain it's normal elasticity. This is sometimes why that feeling of being too small occurs. Your vagina is designed to stretch so you should be able to get back to what you once had. Some women have good success using vaginal estrogen to help promote healing and healthy tissues. This is something you might want to talk to your dr about when you go.
Hopefully some others will be along who can share their experiences. Let us know what you find out from your dr.
