TAH/BSO/Bladder Suspension

Hello Sisters,

I have been reading your Web Site for a couple of days now and want to thank you for all the helpful information I have learned. My surgery was July 6, 2001, due to fibroids and adhesions, also herniated bladder and urethra. I left the hospital 4 days later, unfortunately with a catheter. I have been wearing it for 11 days now. This coming Thursday I have to go for a cystogram, where they shoot dye into the catheter to be able to view your bladder and see how it is healing. Not looking forward to the test, but very much want to be free of the catheter. I don't know what to expect? Will my bladder be healed, the doctor had to cut into it due to adhesions and also lifted it. Anyone else have this type of surgery? When will I be able to urinate on my own? Will it hurt? Anyone with any information, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Patty

TAH/BSO/Bladder Suspension

Hi,

I had bladder repair surgery along with my TAH. I did not have trouble urinating, but I have seen other women experiencing this. I found some of their posts for you in the links below. I hope this helps!
