nerve damage

it has been 8 days since my total hysterectomy, bladder and bowel surgery. I am having unbelieveable pain in my left leg near the groin area. The doctor said there may be some nerve damage. Has anyone had this? I;m so tired of crying and i still have a catheter in and I'm so happy i finally found a website for me!!

I haven't had this problem, but I feel for you.

I'm bumping your post up to the top. Maybe someone else has experienced this and will have some advice.

Hang in there! We're pulling for you!

sympathy but no knowledge

So sorry you are in such pain....will the ice pack help? Remember you aren't that far out of the Operating Room so please take it easy....try to think of something else, I know it's hard to do....can you meditate and think of colors/rainbows/stars? That's what I do when it's so bad.

Again, keep after your dr. and his staff to give you advice as to what to do. Mr. dr's office staff all know my voice when I call the office as I call almost everyday! I even called while in the hospital one day when I wasn't getting help from the floor nurses! Guess what, the doctor came right over....please be proactive in seeking the right answers to your situation but stay off your feet while doing so

Sure will be praying for you!
