does anyone else have this issue?

Hi. I'm new and I was wondering if anyone here has to self-cath? I have a spinal injury that's why I had to have a hysterectomy, my cramps were causing my dysreflexia (very serious and dangerous). Anyways, my colon and bladder don't work because of my injury from MVA.
I was just wondering if anyone out there has this issue also?

thanks

forgot to mention

I forgot to mention, that having to do all this is getting me down I struggled before my surgery too, for other reasons, I thought I was doing better than suddenly, I'm not. I dread having to do my catheter... I hate that my colon doesn't work. I should be over this, I know, that's why I'm confused

Hi,
I'm sorry you are going through this. I self cathed for the past 4 years. When I had my hyst, the Doc also repaired my urethra and put a bladder sling in. I don't have to cath anymore, but if you have any questions, please ask. I'll do my best to share my experience with you.
