...possible hernia?

Hi guys
I've just passed my 5 yr check up so there IS hope!
I've been having a pain on my lower left side and the
possibility of a hernia occured to me. Has anybody had
this and if so what was done.........
You know, in this darn world, if it isn't one thing then its
another! LOL

Hi Carol,

I had my surgery in early 2005. From the 4-month mark post I had a pain and feeling of swelling on my right side. I too thought hernia. After 2 yrs of every test you can think of I went to a Chiropractor who practices Active Release Technique. Seems (although no other Dr would admit) I was loaded with scar tissue. Some people develop scar tissue much more than others. He has been treating me since end of Sept of 07. Mid-December I reached a point where I became pain free. He accomplished this by stretching the muscles that were affected by the scar tissue. I was unable to do much of any vigorous activity after my surgery. I am 44 yrs old. This "ART" chiropractor has given me my life back. Food for thought. Good luck with your pain and God Bless.
