Confusion upon waking?
I have something strange going on. When I wake up in the mornings (or VERY early mornings) LOL, I am okay. When I take a nap of the morning or afternoon, I wake up completely confused and disoriented with alot of anxiety. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is this related to my TAH/BSO 5 months ago? Hormones? Thanks!

Confusion upon waking?
 Maxicat,
Yes, I've experienced something similiar, but I've experienced it even before surgical menopause. Well, not the anxiety, but sometimes when I wake up from a good nap I sometimes have a feeling of "where am I? What day is it?" It usually happens when I have fallen into a very deep sleep and awake suddenly. The feeling does quickly pass.
If you're concerned, you should check with your doctor. It may be helpful to be keeping a journal of all your symptoms.

Confusion upon waking?
I have had nausea and panic attacks and it is always around 6 a.m. . If I awake earlier than that, like around
3 a.m. I don't have it, but this feeling I have around 6 is really difficult to describe, sometimes a feeling of falling and
very fatigued.

Confusion upon waking?
I too have panic and anxiety attacks. It has been 3 years since my hysterectomy. I am on bioidentical hormones. I get my anxiety in the morning hours, and seems to be better by the evenings. The day time I feel very fatigued, lightheaded and similar to the falling feeling you describe. My DR perscribed Lexapro, but afraid to take it.
