Overnight stay changed to outpatient for LAVH?

Is it possible even when DR says they want you to stay overnight that you can get them to change it to outpatient? That is what they told INS. when they sent it for approval. Otherwise I might have fretted for nothing cause I know I can't cover copay this week and hospital won't do it if you can't pay day of unless it's an emergency.

When I had my TVH, it was classified as 'outpatient' even though I stayed in the hospital overnight. Generally, outpatient is 23 hours (less than 24 hours). I hope everyone works out well for you!

you can stay overnight and it still be considered day stay...as long as you are out before 24 hours.
