femring users?

anyone using femring? i'm currently on vivelle dot but i'm bloody well sick of the goo it leaves and i'm tired of it coming off all the time. i now wear a water proof band-aid on it at all times to keep it on during baths and work outs etc. other than these problems i've been happy with it and i feel balanced.

in two weeks i have my yearly appt with the gyno and i'm thinking of asking for cream or gel or the femring. i like the idea of not worrying about hrt every day so the ring appeals to me for that reason. anyone here use it or used it before? thoughts or opinions? i don't personally know anyone using it.

thanks!

femring users?

I have currently use the Femring and LOVE it!! I put it in and forget about it for 3 months. They even have a service that you can have an email, phone call or note by mail to remind you that it is time to remove it and put a new one in. I have had absolutely NO issues with the Femring and no side effects from it either.

femring users?

Hmm, I already just replied to another thread on this...but Femring is GREAT so far! I have had it one week and it has been my best week since my hyst.

It is so easy and SO much nicer than the patches! I cannot believe that my doctor didn't tell me about it. It sure pays to research what you want and try all of your options! The hormone jungle is truly a pain. Femring is nice in that it comes in two doses, .05 and .10. So, for those of us who are still young (I'm 36) and need the higher dose, it is nice, since the creams like Estrasorb don't come in the higher dose, and that can be expensive if you have to get double the medicine. If I stayed on Estrasorb, it would be $90 a month, versus $135 for three months on the Femring.

One other thing to know about the Femring is that it can possibly cause yeast infections, so watch out for that, especially if you need antibiotics for an illness or something. But if you can't wear patches due to adhesive allergies like me, Femring is definitely an appealing option.

peppermint_tea

I use the Femring 0.1mg (2 months now) and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
I've tried compounded bio creams (7 months) and Vivelle dot (6 months)...the ring is, by far, the easiest and the best...for me. I actually feel like my old, pre hyster self.

I am sooooo happy I gave it a try...

Good luck. Hope you love it too.

OK you women give me hope! I'm waiting for my new femring 0.1 rx to be shipped to the pharmacy, should be here by Monday they said. Am sooo looking forward to no patches, 4 years of that is enough I think. Maybe I'll be able to part with the AD's too. I'm hoping I have no side effects and NO YEAST! Think I'll take some acidophillous tablets to ward off the evil yeast beast ahead of time. Thanks for all your thoughts!
