Intro

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tammy, I am 36yr old mom of 4, I homeschool my 2 oldest and have started my own (very) part time photography business. I will be have a TVH with rectal repairs on 1/21/08. I am scared about the surgery and the pain I will face afterwards. I think I have probably mentioned that in every post I have made, I have a very vivid imagination and I am expecting horrific pain. I am usually pleased with how things turn out since I am expecting so much worse. I am praying that will be the case this time as well. I am also worried about post surgery trying to homeschool my 12yr. DD and 8yr. DS, and keeping up with my preschooler who just turned 5, and the baby who will be 2 the Saturday after my surgery. My husband is a great guy and will be with me the first week post op, then I will be on my own with the kids. My oldest is great at helping me and I hope I will be ok then. Sorry for rambling on!

It's perfectly normal to be afraid of surgery and to wonder how recovery will be, too. I hope you are finding the support and information on this site helpful. No one can relate as well as someone who has been through what you're going through.

You've posted on the Pre-Op message board so you're on your way to getting the input you need from your Sisters. Of course after surgery you can join everyone on the Post-Op board, too! Don't miss out on the information in the Pre-Op Page resource which Princess Ruby linked for you. There's a lot in there to help you be better prepared.
