how long to leave steristrips?

I am 11 days post op and doc never said how long to leave them on she said remove band ades after 24 hours. I have an appointment but kinda curious. thanks ladies.

My said that the steristrips would begin to come off on their own. I had my suregery on January 11th and I have had a couple come off in the shower.

When the first one came off, I was a little concerned , but then a day later 2 more came off and I chilled out about it.

My Dr said they would come off on their own too and what didn't come off she would take them off at my 4 week pre-op appointment. None of mine came off duirng that time, so she ended up taking them all off. Which I am sorta glad cause I was afraid if they came off too early, the wound would come open.
Don't know if that helped or not, but at 4 weeks I was released to all activity, she said I had "healed like a rose, inside and out".
