1st Lupron shot 6 hours ago

I received my first of 3 Lupron shots this morning. I am cramping a little more than my normal daily pain. I do feel a little jumpy and out of sorts. I already experience hot flashes due to being perimenopausal. I am hoping this is the route to go. I can't wait for summer and to feel good again. I know getting rid of this huge blob of a uterus and fibroid will make a world of difference. Thank you for all of the encouraging words and advice. I am going on a field trip to Chicago with my sons class tomorrow. I will be taking female supplies just in case! Hopefully I won't need them!

I hope that the cramping lessened up for you and you got some rest. You'll need it for that field trip. Have fun

I took 5 months of Lupron before my surgery.I think I felt worse after my first shot but by the time I had my second one the only symptoms I had was hot flashes and sore muscles. I hope you feel better for your field trip. The shots were actually a blessing for me(even with the side effects).My largest fibroid had shrunk in half by the time I had my TAH in December.God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers.
