Debating on making the call...

Since Saturday night I have been in severe (7/8:10) pain that I can only assume is from the lovely hemorrhagic cyst on my remaining ovary. I have no fever or nausea except when you touch that side of my body. I have pain meds left so I don't need those and I don't want the doctor to tell me my remaining ovary has to come out. I just cannot decide if I should wait it out or call the doctor.Last time I hurt this bad I was hospitalized for two days and I NEVER want to do that again...

So what would you do if you were me?

Debating on making the call...

There's no question in my mind that if I were in severe pain I'd call the doctor and ask to be seen. Failing that, I'd go to the ER. If your remaining ovary does need to come out, you are simply postponing the inevitable.

You don't know for certain what is causing the pain and not calling could have disastrous results. Please call and let us know what the doctor says.

I hope you feel better soon.

You need to tell you doctor if you are in severe pain. Waiting it out won't solve the problem. Call the doctor and if she doesn't want to help you should go to the ER.

(((Sarrah))), I understand those feelings. I was in my doctor's office so much after my surgery for one thing or another that they all recognized me, too.

(((Catherine))) has given you excellent advice. I hope you can reach your doctor soon. If you can't be seen by your doctor right away, I hope you will consider being seen at the hospital emergency room. It's not a good idea to take a wait and see attitude.

Let us know what you find out, okay?

The funny thing is..thinking of the what ifs...I would rather be in pain then menopause so if it is the ovary...I will just suck it up.

Debating on making the call...

The u/s showed a very large hemmhorragic cyst and my Dr. has warned me that if it is not gone in 4 weeks that I will have to have it, and the ovary, removed.
