Just found hystersisters.com ~ 2 weeks post-op

And I'm thrilled to know that the bm problem I experienced isn't unique!!! My poor doctors and nurses made me think that I was embellishing the pain, gas, etc. that was going on and here it was normal.

I'm thrilled to find ya'll, but not thrilled to have had this surgery.

I didn't really have much time to think about, plan, or even research before my surgery-it was an emergency thingy. So here I sit post-op wondering if it really needed to be done, what other options were there, do I know enough about HRT now that I'm committed to it for the next 10 years or so. What did I involuntarily get myself into?!@!!

Post-op I'm healing OK. One of the stiches on my abdomen is gaping a bit, but the surgeon isn't worried about it. My internest did my 1 week visit and wondered why they left behind the uterus--me too. I see the surgeon again on the 5th.

Here I am. The new me. I hope it's a better me.
