Husband not enjoying intercourse now

I had a LAVH in novevember. We have beeen trying to have intercourseabout 8 weeks after. I enjoy it but my husband says it feels different to him and he is not enjoying it anymore. Has anyone had this problem. I'm scared he will go have an affair if he feels this way. Please help

I am sorry for your problem. Infidelity is a horrible situation no matter what the reason.

You wrote that you've been trying to have intercourse since about 8 weeks post-op. Have you not been successful? Maybe there are other things you two can do in the bedroom to make it more enjoyable for him other than just the intercourse. I think there are several different aspects of intercourse other than just the deed itself.

Has he told you anything more specific than it feels different? What feels different? Do you have a cuff and maybe that is causing the difference in feeling. Good luck to you.

He said he just can't get any feeling. He said before it felt great but now it don't. No I do not have a cuff. Thanks for all of the advice.

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue in your post-op life. I'm certainly no anatomy expert, but I can't see how your pelvic region/vagina would feel different to him, causing no sensation on his part. Perhaps the problem lies with him, not with you.

Bear74, you must have a vaginal cuff of you had LAVH. However, I have the opposite problem. I was given the go ahead at 3 months (this past Thursday), DH said it feels the same, maybe better since I am not so dry, but for me, it felt OK ... not good, not bad, but OK. I guess I need to talk to my Dr and see if there is something we can do.

Hi Bear,

My hubby said it is different for him too but he's at least enjoying the fact intimacy happens more regularly. He has told me he used to bump against something before and no longer does and I'm assuming it's the missing cervix as mine was elongated.

Just give things time and try different ways to stimulate him and making your time together loving and caring.
