Chronic Right Sided Pain

I had an LAVH in April 2007 and since then have experienced chronic lower right sided pelvic pain that radiates into my groin area. Have had laparoscopic surgery to remove appendix, was told that the intestines, etc looked good (no adhesions, inflammation, etc). This pain has gotten so severe that I was hospitalized twice in January, the last time resulting in the appendectomy to make sure it wasn't appendicitis. Has anyone else experienced this? I am wondering if it is vascular from the hyst. All I know is that I am tired of being in pain every day for the past 10 months and not having any desire for a sex life.

Chronic Right Sided Pain

I have right sided chronic too, it feels like someone has a pair of pliers inside me and it squeezing me where my overies used to be, and the pain goes down to my pelvic area and up to my ribcage, I have had 2 Laps for adhesions, which neither of them helped, I think maybe you should go to see someone about getting a nerve block, a nerve called the ilioinguinal nerve can be involved and it causes pain on the right hand side, I am having it done myself on the 8th of April, fingers crossed as I am semi in-valid because of the pain and scarring I have, but if the nerve blocks works for me at least it will get rid of some of my pain, I wish you well, worth finding out about.

Chronic Right Sided Pain

I am so sorry about what your going through. I too started out as right-sided pain but just recently found out mine is due to nerve damage in the vaginal cuff. Of course not saying that is what yours is from but have your doctor check out your vaginal cuff. It can be done through a pelvic exam and if it were to be the cuff when your doctor touches the spot you will definitly feel pain. Good luck.

Thanks, Southernfox, for that information. I would've never thought about that. I need to find a good Gyn. to present that too. What is the treatment for that?

Chronic Right Sided Pain

I know it's been a while since you posted but I hope you see this..... I, too have the exact same symptoms! I had a TVH/ BSO 5/01/06, and in the past 6 months I've noticed that I've had chronic lower pelvic pain. Last month I found out I have interstitial cystitis which accounts for most of that pain. Recently though, I've been experiencing sharp stabbing pains in my lower right abdominal area that radiates into the groin at times, so severe that I double over, and feel kind of nauseous, and no appetite. Usually accompanied by a BM, and after. It feels like something is grabbing and pinching really hard. I thought maybe gall bladder because it does go up into my rib cage at times. Did yours resolve? And if so what was done? Hope you are feeling better by now! Best of luck.

Mine hasn't been too bad this week. Waxes and wanes in intensity...worse with deep penetration during intercourse, sometimes worse right before a BM.
