more problems after 10 months
I posted many times after my surgery and the many months that followed about my constant discharge problem. After three silver nitrate treatments, I thought I was cured. For the last couple of months I would log on, read all of the posts and be very thankful that my problems were over.
But...the problem has returned with a vengence. I'm back to wearing a mini pad because the discharge has gotten so bad. Although I have the discharge, I really don't have any pain. I get that pesky right-sided pain ( that I read so much about ) but, I really don't feel like I have a major pain issue. I tried to get in to see my doctor, and she has left the practice for parts unknown. I did get an appointment with another doc, but can't get in until Aug 29.
Does anyone know if the granulation can come back after it has been treated. I thought once it was healed it was over.
I am so upset after this lastest setback, I'm close to a year post op (Sept 12) and I sure wasn't expecting this.
Thanks for listening

Hi J!
I've been wondering how you've been and then I read your post and...oh no!!! I thought you were cured! Sure sounds to me like your granulation has returned. Sorry you have to wait until August 29th to be seen. Can you get on a cancellation list? As for me, I'm having surgery next month (I'll get the exact date on Tues. when I go for my pre-op exam) to repair my vaginal cuff and a lap. for suspected adhesions. My discharge is as bad as ever and my right-sided pain is constant and is now also in my lower back. It has not been a fun summer! I really am miserable and cannot wait to feel better. I will keep you posted and you do the same! Take care!

jstone,
Sorry to hear that your problems have returned. I wish that I had some answers for you, but I haven't had any experience with the granulation. I agree with MB5, could you possibly get on a cancellation list so that you don't have to wait so long to be seen?
Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

thanks for the reply.
MB, I'm glad that you are finally getting in and getting your problem taken care of, it has gone on way too long. I really don't know how you have been able to handle it for this long. I'll be looking for your post tomorrow after your appointment.
Lisa, thanks for your kind words and I did have the nurse post my name to the cancellation list. I'll be on vacation from Aug 9-19 so even if I don't get in before, I won't have to wait too long after vacation.

discharge problems.
hi! after my surgery (nine months ago) i too have been having discharge problems. i too kept going back to the doctor and the gyn as well he could not get over the mess that was there and cleaned it out. i had to see him again and this time he had to do it again. it has been nie months and i,m still having disharge problems. some months are fine others are really bad. but i found out that my estrogen is low. that is why for me i was always dry and sore and having dicharge. i,m now taking black cohosh and relief for menopuse. but i,m only yaking it until i find out how serious my estrogen is. i am doing good now with these pills. this is helping with dryness and soreness. read up on it like i did and give it a try! good luck!

charlene,
did you have your estrogen tested? Is it a blood test or what? My doctor has never suggested that I have a hormonal problem, but maybe I should ask the question at my appointment.
I don't feel dry, in fact I feel very wet and gross.
I will ask about the estrogen though, thanks for the reply.
