New and hoping to talk to others

I live in San Bernardino County and I am new as of today. I hope I get to talk with others who had gone through a Total Hsyterectomy. I had no pain during my surgery on Dec 17, 2007. I am nearing my 8th week and no pain or menopausal symptoms.

welcome! you had your surgery 2 days before I did.

And you're in a huge county -- are you down in the city or on the desert?

It's very nice to meet you and you're certainly in the right place to meet our post-op ladies. I hope some more will be along very soon to share their experiences!

Sending all good wishes and I hope you enjoy your membership!

New and hoping to talk to others

Hi there lavendar 61. Welcome to the sisterhood and to the forums.

Since you've had such a wonderful experience like I did, you may want to go to the pre op forums and offer some reassurance to those about to go to the castle. There are several threads there that could use the input from someone who has had a good outcome.

Again, it's very nice to have you here with us.

Welcome Lavendar 61!

Yes, I agree with Kay.... post your positive recovery story and outcome on the pre-op board. I'm only 13 days post-op, but I know the waiting was THE worst, and every time I read a really successful post-op story, it just lowered my stress and nerve level a few notches.

This is a great place to connect with other women who have been through the same surgery, so you are in the right place!!

Take care!!

to Hyster Sisters!

It's nice to have you join us. We look forward to sharing support and experiences with you.

The best way to share your story is to post it in the read-only forum called Tell Your Hyst-Story. You can get from this forum to that one using this link: Tell Your Hyst Story.

If you would like to share support and experiences with the incoming Ladies-in-Waiting, you're welcome to reply on the threads they post in the Pre-Op forum. The extra input is appreciated!

Best wishes to you!

Hi Lavendar61,
I'm new here too. I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy 9 days ago. I hope my sudden menopause story turns out like yours. To what do you attribute it? Any ideas? I'd love to know about your body type, diet, etc.
