Hi Barri and all who struggle in after me
Now I know us east coast girls are up by now. Been a busy day. Food is soso.
Bkft: oatmeal w/raisins and hot tea
Lunch: 1 C leftover chili mac, 2 pcs garlic toast, hot tea
Dinner: we're gonna eat our left over noodle soup from yesterday.
Snack: I've had 1 (as in ONE) cookie at my neighbors. And just had 1/2C all natural cereal w/1% milk. A few too many carbs today.
I have to get our grocery shopping done tomorrow. It will be a big one to cover the rest of week and next week for the girls. I can't wait to be waited on!
Lisa - now Barri will have some company out there in the Pacific Time Zone. LOL.
Someone said on Saturday that I'd lost weight? Now there's a novel idea. I can't remember if I posted that I did, but my scale says I didn't. Maybe got me mixed up with someone else. I need to get this 20 lbs back off.
Nanno - it's a promise that we're gonna do our 3lbs thing when I get home and when your up to it. Anyone else can do it too. We PM each other and say when we lost 3 lbs. BUT you have to keep it off for a week before it counts. But I'm waiting till after my vacation.
Off to start paying some bills. I"ve got to drop off the check to the township tomorrow then DH and I will be officially signed up for water arebics starting in March. Julie would like this one!
Hugs to all,
Melissa

Wow...where is everyone!!!!!!! Come on BESTERS!
I got up early, and headed to the dentist. I had a tooth bothering me so I wasn't looking forward to what he might say. But the tooth looks fine and he thinks it's my sinuses, so I'll take that. Came home and had some decongestant.
I got some spicy chinese on the way home (also to open up my sinuses) so my food today has been ok. I did get out on the ice, since we had a little bit of snow on top of it, and got in my walk. Then I did some aerobic shoveling.
I'll check back in later.
Barri...I hope that Mandie arrives safe and sound on Saturday!! That must feel like a year away right now.
Have a BEST OP day everyone!

I did a bit of looking about for info on this tea/iron absorption thing. Seems like there are as many ariticles saying it doesn't affect iron levels as there are saying it does. On futher looking I've found that numerous articles are stating that it can depend on whether or not your a meat eater vs a vegetarian or vegan. Apparrently when you eat meat it does not allow the tannin in the tea to interact with the heme properties in our blood. But if you not a meat eater it could very well interfere.
I did read that women in the UK excerience more incidences of being anemic than other countires studied. How about that?
So many studies, they all say something a bit different. I imagine it's a matter of (as with anything) moderation!
Nancy - arobic snow shoveling is NOT my idea of a fun workout.
I'll stop in to chatter later. Got to enjoy a ride out with my baby. :steer: LOL.

Barri I'd be climbing the walls waiting for I'm so excited for you. I hope the weather cooperates and does not create any problems.
Melissa, water aerobics with DH will be fun!!
Nancy, glad to hear the tooth is not the issue, and I look forward to hearing that the sinuses are soon cleared and painless!
I had a Fiber One bar for breakfast at 7 this morning,
lunch was a quiche (not a very small piece) and salad with a half of a large bakery-type cookie. We to another office and so had to eat out.
Now I'm ready to start looking for something else to eat, and I should instead go to Curves, but I find myself wanting to go home and rub cream into my cracked and bleeding (and painful) fingertips. That's the one thing I hate about winter - dry hands!!
I do have an apple, so will cut that up for the drive home. We'll see what DH LT has on hand for dinner.
I don't know when I'll have a chance to catch up on chatter. I'm soo far behind, and I don't know what's happening with everyone, and have not welcomed any new folks, either. So,
Time to hit the road again

 Ladies,
Just a quick afternoon check-in.
Melissa ... Gloria and I think Sabino as well, share the Pacific Time Zone with me and Lisa. Lisa and I are just closer to each other.
Nancy ... How are your toes? Did you find out why they are red?
Desk ... I am extremely excited for Mandie to come home, I was climbing the walls worse before I had a date, I am so thankful I have set date. The other girl that is with Mandie was adopted a week before her and they also will get their litte girl Saturday, but have had to wait a week longer than me.
I've been good food wise so far. Dinner I will have tot watch portion size.
Well, ladies my awaits my return

Barri..The latest on my toes, is all the tests, including the echocardiogram showed nothing wrong. So...I go to the doctor on Thursday of this week for a regular check up. I'll ask a little more, but I have no idea. They are slowly getting less red, so who knows. I'm sort of hoping my Velvet Antler supplement will cure about everything, so I should be good to go.
DH is picking out dinner tonight, so I have no idea what it's going to be. But not cooking has to count for something. Hopefully it will be at least partially OP for me.
I'm done with snow shoveling for the night. I give up once it gets dark.
Desk...You are doing so very well these days. You should be proud of it.
Melissa..I actually like being outside in the winter, as long as it's not icy or way below zero (although I'm outside then too). It's sort of invigorating.
Ok...waiting on DH. Be back later.

 Hey everyone...
Don't know where this morning went but, the next thing I know that I was on my way to work -- definitely running on automatic pilot
Food today was ok -- and, I'm making soup w/ garlic bread for dinner. Here's the recipe for a quick soup that tastes like you cooked all day --
http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...72#post2496572
Exercise was a brief walk with the dogs as I just feel like curling up & getting some rest for the day -- too many sick folks at work & don't want to run myself down.
Nancy... hope DH brought something yummy home for dinner!! Gotta love not cooking!!
Melissa... had a beautiful day today for your ride.
Barri... ok Tuesday is over & you only have a few more days!! How exciting
Desk... good for you on deciding on the apple today!! So sorry to hear about Jack
Ok... gotta finish dinner -- take care all!!

Well, I THOUGHT I had been on here this a.m., but I guess I was still dreaming........
Had a pretty typical food day, not too bad...but I just now ate dinner and it is after 9 pm., so that is NOT a good time to eat.
Had a massage tonight - a new therapist (prior one just moved away), and she was awesome...so I will continue to see her. DH had an out of town meeting today, so I knew he would be late coming home (still not here), so I figured it was a good night to do so.
Exercise today (other than the massage - which DOES count !) was chasing DgD...
Gotta scoot...catch you all tomorrow.
Ali
