Growing facial hair and hair falling out!! HELP!!

I'm not sure if this is where I post this. It's been 4 years since my hysterectomy (ovaries removed) and I'm now 28 years old. I haven't posted much since back in the day when i was panicking about my surgery. Here's my problem if anyone can offer any advice...

I've been pretty much symptom free on premarin 1.25 mg daily. For the past couple of months I've noticed that the hair on my head is falling out (I can't tell if it's falling out at the scalp or breaking off. I don't see any roots but I'm not sure). There's no particular pattern that I can tell. Just generalized and I have alot of "sprouts" everywhere. I've also developed alot of course facial hair on my chin. It's SO embarassing!!! I went to the doctor and my testosterone level is 51 (she didn't go much into detail but said it was a little elevated considering the fact that I don't have ovaries) and she increased my premarin to two 1.25 mg tablets daily to see if it will bring down my testosterone level. I'm not sure if she was rushed today but I have no idea the correlation between the two or how one can bring down the other. Does anyone know if that sounds right? Increasing estrogen to lower testosterone? I'm scared I'm going to go bald and have a beard...

any suggestions or personal experiences would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks.

I am sorry you are going through this. I know how frustrating it is when the hair sheds, grows in not acceptable places, or is changed. I noticed hair shedding when my hormones were off in the past.
I am not exactly sure how the hormones work with each other, but I do know they need to be in balance in respect of each other.

Hopefully, your new dose and treatment will bring about that balance for you.

Hormones are delicate and they do take some time to see results.

Wishing you the best results.
