Prayer needed for my 2nd surgery

Hello sisters!
Today is my first day back on site since December. I had a TAH for endometrious on 10/18/07; stage 1c was detected in pathology; 2nd surgery was scheduled for 12/17>rescheduled for 12/31 (due to severe sinus infection). After it was rescheduled the 2nd time, I was truly frustrated. I was already scared to undergo another procedure (ooph) with the 1st surgery so vivid. I sank into a deep depression and became very stubborn about following up with doctor's reccommendations. I was told on 12/31 that I had to be cleared by my primary care physician to be cleared to undergo the procedure, to ensure I wasn't a high risk for pneumonia.

Well.....tooth #18>far back chipped during the month of my surgery in Oct and I've been in pain with that. After a dentist visit on 1/15/08, I was referred to "oral surgery". The dentist tried to numb me up 3 times to extract the tooth, but it was too painful. He then prescribed me antibiotics to reduce the tenderness & he stated there is an abcess at the root. Well....duh.....I thought that would have been better initially, anyway, instead of probing trying to pull the tooth.

I was too out-done when he said "oral surgery"! Are you kidding me....more anesthesia? It seemed like my world was coming to an end. So, okay.....while taking the antibiotics, I get a terrible yeast infection. Okay, I'm treated for that, but then I clam up when it's time for my consultation appt. with the oral surgeon. This terrible mood swing came over me and I said "forget it". I didn't go because I just didn't want to be probed with.

Not a great idea!! I've cried, Prayed and went through a million emotions. Now, I finally have ACCEPTANCE that sometimes, life brings upon us a STORMS. For a while, it seemed like my storms would never end and my faith had diminished.

I know it is important for me to follow-up with appts.....no matter how many there are. So, TODAY>2/27/08.....I'm making my appts & keeping them.

SISTERS......Please Pray for me that God will strengthen me to endure my storms; I'll Pray for each and everyone of you as well. Much love

You have been through a lot but maybe this will be your final storm for awhile. I'll keep you in my prayers and I know God will give you the strength to get through all this and move on to a better chapter in your life.

freeforever....you put it exactly how I am sure we all feel at times...one thing after another...STORM...love the word, it fits.....hope you weather this storm...follow thru as you know if you don't it can only bring more rain....it is scary to think of more surgery....I can relate to sick of being probed, doc to doc, no resolve....but you need to stick with it...........face this storm head-on so that it can be behind you soon...Good Luck and hope this is the end of stormy weather for you...take care
