scheduled date

The date is scheduled and I'm still not with it. Am I the only one that it took 2 hours to click pre-op and actually post?
I went on a reading spree and how am I suppose to absorb everything?
The doctors talk to me and I swear I don't hear a thing. Please tell me this is normal and I'll start to understand things. I keep hoping it'll all come together and I'll know what's happening to me.
Are these normal reactions?

Everything you are feeling is normal. You didn't mention what type of surgery you will be having. I know you are feeling overwhelmed...I did too. I spent(and still do) a lot of time on this site. The ladies on here are awesome and will help in any way. This is such a scary time right now for you..for any woman. I will keep you in my prayers and will answer anything I can, just remember your doctor is your best source right now so if you have any questions just call his office. God bless you.

thank you and I'm sorry it's a radical hyster. One day I was fine. I had some off bleeding but most of my friends said they did to. I told my gyn and they blamed my stress levels at college. My paps were mainly all good. I had some bad ones. I don't even know who I am now. I read everything on these pages. I'm trying to comprehend but I think I'm to the point tonight that if I read anything else it's going to come out like blah blah blah hpv blah blah until my eyes either reject it all or I pass out.
God Bless You to thank you for your prayers I can always use them

Hi FlyingWest,

It took me lurking for awhile before I posted.

My advice, since you have time until your surgery is to take some deep breaths and relax. Then, when you are feeling calmer and ready, come back and read as much as you can. Keep a pen and pad right there and start writing down any questions you may have for your Dr.

The ladies here will answer any questions you have, or advise you to call a Dr, if they can't. No question is stupid, or embarrassing, or too graphic. We are all living it!

You have not given a whole lot of info about your condition, but you give the impression this is a shock. If you are college age, have you thought about seeking second opinions?

Again, when you are up to it, there is so much info here. I did not understand what the Dr told me until I actually started reading here. Then I started understanding and could ask intelligent questions (even found a mistake on the papers I had signed, which was then put right).

My prayers are with you as well. For peace, for insight, for understanding.

Yes I have times where I'm very emotional and scared and times I feel completely numb and try to deny it. Second by second sometimes I get a minute. I am in shock. I go into a shock phase when things get going again. My scheduled date was arranged today. I still don't believe it but you are right I should be quiet. Get questions and gather information. Some how it does feel good to at least have put it out there when I'm outside a Dr.s office. I actually feel sane because people understand. But it's true I can't focus.
Thank you for your prayers and understanding.
