"Start A New" Sunday, Mar 2nd

Morning everyone

This has been a tough week for me... and the scale is showing it. It's not like I don't have "good" things for me to eat -- I've just been in a funk, and the good things just weren't what I wanted. Hoping to change this attitutde for a better one

Breakfast: 1 egg scrambled, 2 slices of turkey bacon & a light whole grain english muffin
Lunch/Dinner: I have a whole chicken to roast -- will probably put it out on the grill -- need to come up with a veggie to go along with it
Snacks: banana / yogurt / cantaloupe

Exercise: If I don't kill DJ today (he's just a moaner this morning and is working our last nerve); then I'll wak the boys later

I still have a light food shopping to do... need veggies for the week and some more fruit.

Melissa... good to see you're back -- hope you had a fabulous time on vacation

Desk... sounds like a wonderful day yesterday. Enjoy today's celebrations

Hi's to everyone...

Hi Sue and anyone who follows

Sue - Cinnamon won't let me out of his site since we've returned home. He's really being a HUGE baby.

Foods today aren't good to start but having a lovely dinner. I CHOSE to have something from the bakery from bkft. At least I recognize that. I could have been good like Sue but I guess I still feel like I'm on vacation cause DH is.

I'm looking forward to beginning our aqua areobics class. Seems too far away. I also bought a couple more bright, flashing "winky blinky" lites at the car show yesterday to put on my jacket/shirt for walking in evenings. Never too many to be safe. It's amazing how blind some drivers can be.
Neighbor and I are making plans to get back into a regular routine now that the weather should be getting more mild.

Boy have I noticed how sore my joints are since returning home. We were really active on the cruise and with the warm weather I was loving it. But the cold, damp has thrown my arthritis into overtime. Using a lot of BioFreeze (I think thats the name) at night after my shower. Helps keep things moving.

Off to check on the chicken I have roasting. The house smells wonderful.

Bkft: blueberry turnover & coffee
Lunch: other 1/2 the turnover and more coffee
Dinner: roast chicken, smashed potato, peas w/pearl onions, fresh itallian bread, and chocolate-orange brownies for dessert. Expecting company to drop in for dinner. I'll be mindful of the dessert portion size.

Hugs to all - Sue how's DH doing?
M.

Ok... so today's not going quite as well as I had planned :confuse:

DH wanted to go out to Applebee's, and the devil side of me won enough said!

The positive for the day -- I did take a long with the dogs, and the whining finally stopped.

And... as the day would have it -- the chicken we were just ready to put on the grill is still frozen some. So... that will become tomorrow's dinner.

I think part of the problem is that my neck/shoulder has been really sore for a good part of a week. I finally used the BioFreeze to help with the pain as my Aleve is not touching it. I'm thinking Melissa may be on to something with the weather & the joints.

Melissa... nurse practitioner suspected DH had an infection this past week & took a urine sample. Results came back Friday... and, he's back on antibiotics for another 10 days. He's doing better & looks good... still, he has good and bad days. He's not too happy that this is hampering his golf game

Ok... off to get a nice cup of tea & rethink dinner.
