Reply to 3 week wall

Hello Sister,
I too am approching the three week wall. How it was explained to me is that all of the internal stitches are starting to dissolve, and everything is starting to move around inside, so it makes it very tender inside, and this is a crucial week to take it easy. Good luck to you.

Much Love,
Andrea Kaye

I just went thru 3 week wall...

Last Monday at 2 1/2 weeks post op I was very sore inside with cramping and stayed in bed all that day going back on pain meds. Tuesday and Wednesday took it very easy; no lifting, grocery shopping, etc. I was somewhat moody, too, not wanting to see anyone.

Then around Wednesday/Thursday I began to feel better...still just low on energy. Today I feel very good....surgery was 6/28.

From what I understand we feel the loosening of the stitches (100 in a TAH) as the muscles begin to take over again and stitches dissolve. Just don't do any jumping jacks.....really not much bending or you will feel it and the dr. will have to go back in for "repairs"....YIKES...or so I've heard.....

But...each case is different and if you had TAV, you'll heal faster and with less stitches!

Take care
Sandra C
