Menopause Symptoms

Hello all!
At this time I am a due to have a tah/bso August 7th. I am a little concerned about about what my symptoms will be like after the surgery. told me no hrt after surgery for 3 to 6 months. I already have like spells before my period that actually make me blackout (faint). Can I expect these to get worse?????
Is there anything I can to to relieve the menopause symptoms without use hrt/nhrt?
Of course my DH only really is concerned about no sex drive and me becoming a major bi... witch. I'm really consumed with all this stuff! HELP!!!

to all!

Menopause Symptoms

HI Angelia,

I had my surgery for cancer and from what I was told can not take any form of HRT for a couple of years.

I think from what I've read I've really been pretty lucky! I do have hot flashes and night sweats but haven't had any trouble with mood swings and such. I do take a multitude of vitamin supplements that seem to help a bit. Among them I take, a Multi vitamin, Vitamin E (the "d" not dl type), calcium, magnesium, B-complex, iron and glucosamine. The Vitamin E does seem to help a bit but I do still get them.

Some gals here have found relief with black cohosh and evening primrose oil but be sure to check with your Dr first. Check out the post by Trish at the top of this forum, she lists alot of different ideas you can check into.

Best to you on your upcoming surgery and try to relax, tackle one thing at a time. You might not have any problems even without HRT, some gals do very well without it.

Take care and please let us know how everything goes.

{{hugs}}

Vicki
