Anyone else not have menopause symtoms after surgical menopause?

I had both my ovaries and tubes removed on 7-23-07 and I havent had any menopause symptoms. Is that normal? Last week I started having bad pains on my left side and it feels like it did when I would get a cyst. My back and my thigh hurts. I also have nausea. I was suppose to go to the dr tomorrow but they called earlier and had to reschedule it for Monday. I was so upset because Im sick of this pain and I want to know whats going on.

Hi,

Sorry you are still having pains. I think we are all different as far as the symptoms of menopause goes. The body can store estrogen for some time, so it may be you still have some stored in your body. I believe the adrenalin gland produces some form of estrogen, and in some people this may work better for them than others.

I hope you get some answers and relief soon. I think you can consider your self very lucky if you are not having symptoms of menopause now, and hopefully it will continue for you.

Thanks for your info. I hope thats all it is, that my body has stored up estrogen. It's been 8 months since my BSO. I've looked up ORS and I hope thats not what it is. I guess I'll know when I get a U/S.
