Difficulty Sleeping post-op wk 6

Within the last week, I have been experiencing insomnia. Last night, I awoke at 1:00 am and could not get back to sleep. I slept for approximately 1.5 hrs. today. The night before, I awoke at 3:00 am and went back to sleep at 6:30 am. This has been going on for about a week. I'm in a peaceful and quiet environment surrounded with love. My diet is very good. Nightly, I am in bed by 10:00 pm. I've noticed in some afternoons, I become emotional -- the least "little" thing upsets me. Right now, I am sooo sleepy I can barely stand myself. Help!!!!

I am so sorry for your experiences. I have had some trouble but probably not to the degree that you have. I don't have any suggestions at this time but wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and we are all in this together so vent away...

Please take this with a grain of salt but my husband just walked in and said to try a real stiiff drink! Men - they think they know everything!

I will say a prayer for you tonight to get some rest and relief.

Amy

Thank you, mine said the same!!! You are so right!!! My hysterectomy was due to uterine fibroid tumors. They were extremely large -- a lot of lower back pressure, abdominal pain and vaginal pain; no endomitrosis. Thank you for your prayers.

I'm having the same problem at least 3-4 nights per week. Trying to limit the length of my naps and I'm only having 1 cup of caffiene per day. I'm also experiencing more hot flashes than prior to surgery. I think my ovaries are a bit rebellious!

TVH, repairs, kept ovaries.
