OK...come on...Wake up everyone!!

I just wanted to get today's thread going. I'm reading back and catching up, because I didn't post yesterday I guess.

I was OP...even had thin crust pizza, but only a little, so I did good all day. I got in a nice long walk, without any jacket on, and the ice is finally off my long hill that I like to walk so things here are looking better. The sun is shining and I'm going to head out for today's walk soon.

Food isn't planned, but I'll be careful. No one to lead me astray but me, and I've just bought new cute capris, so I WILL eat good.

I'll read back from yesterday and check in later.

My scale dropped a pound this morn! Walked 5 miles yesterday at the park so knees are killing me today- I must need the day off and my anti- inflammatories In my defense the day was gorgeous and I simply walked too long, and then the rain and humidity finished my osteo-arthritis off Anyone else have knee problems?

Yesterday
b-oatmeal
l-salmon salad with ff honey mustard dressing, 1 piece bread with jam
d-business dinner out=crab stuffed flounder with steamed broccoli and a salad (not very good either)
s-small piece coconut cream pie and a handful popcorn
(after theater snacks)

Nanc- thanks for starting us off

Hi All!

We're busy getting things ready for DS18'd arrival home very shortly. His room is still not finished (far from it), but I wanted to have his bed ready and waiting. He wants to organize and sort through his things and set up his desk and closet, etc himself anyway. So excited to have him home again!

Last night my parents arrived home with a bucket of the COLONEL"S extra crispy, potatoes and gravy and biscuits! UGH!! Doesn't anyone hear me when I say I'm cutting out the white stuff. Well, I broke down...thought a breast and about 3-4 Tbsp of potatoes and one biscuits wouldn't kill the day's numbers. Well, let me tell you....it's very awful...check this out:

1 breast....440 cals, 27g fat, 15 g carbs, 970 g sodium
1/2 c potatoes with gravy...140 cals, 5g fat, 20g carbs, 560 g sodium
1 biscuit...220 cals, 11 g fat, 24g carbs, 640g sodium

AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Would have been fine if the cravings hadn't kicked in an hour later AND I hadn't used up a day's worth of fat grams and sodium in one little setting. I'm chalking it up to a learning experience/science experiment and moving on.

I recovered. And the scale didn't seem to be too bothered. I'm actually down a little. I had been good yesterday, so I guess a splurge doesn't hurt too much sometimes.

Prebreakfast...1/2 banana, tea
Lunch...chicken breast on two slices of whole wheat bread
Snack...apple, Triscuits and avocado
Dinner...pizza night...I'll try some of your suggestions!
Snack/dessert...Cheerios and skim milk

Nancy...enjoy a beautiful day and a beautiful walk
Hatrickdog...CONGRATS on the pound loss!! Hope your pain eases and your feeling much better soon!!

Back to work...Have a GREAT day all!

Hey everyone

Beautiful day here as well We have DgS spending the weekend for the 1st time since DH's surgery. So... we've done some running around today -- finally got our taxes done (thank goodness we don't owe ) -- and took DgS out to get some school shoes & some work boots to wear when fishing. Can't believe his feet grew a full size!! and, he's now taller than I am!! (he's still mom mom's baby though )

Today --

B - 3 small pieces of bacon & 1 scrambled egg w/ orange juice
L - chicken caesar salad at Panera's with a 1/2 a roll (didn't eat the croutons)
D - probably Chinese -- but I can fit that in to my day's calories

Exercise -- already took the boys out for their walk.

Nancy... I'm sure you really appreciate the nicer weather!!

Hatrickdog... good for you on your walk -- hope you are able to feel better soon though!! I don't have bad knees, but do have chronic back issues... just wish I could trade in for another model body

PJ... on DS coming home!! I, too, sometimes splurge & am quite pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt the weight loss. I also found the same thing about exercising -- so maybe switching it up once in a while is not soooo bad!!

Ok... off to enjoy the afternoon & get laundry going.

You ladies have been doing great! It's late, so I just want to drop in for a moment, and I'll zip over to Chatter to tell you something that any of you apple figures out there might appreciate. Sad but true...

Hi Ladies,

A quick check in ... mt neck is killing me so I am keeping this short so I can take a HOT shower and get to bed. So please forgive me for not addressing each of you.

Yesterday I did very good food wise.

Today ... well, iffy.

PreB ... 1/2 slice of 12 grain toast, w/ 1 TB pb
B ... 1 C rice krispies w/banana, 1% milk and walnuts
L ... (OK here is where I blow it) We went to Red Robin;s with my sister and her family, I had a Garden Burger on a whole wheat bun, they put french fries in the basket (about 10) and I ate them. DH also ordered onion rings and I ate 3 of them ... bad, bad, bear.
D ... 3 oz steak, with 1/2- C whole grain pasta w/pesto and 2 glasses of wine.

OK ... tomorrow is another day, another start.

Nighty night,
Barri
