Question about resuming intimacy

Hi Sisters,
So when is the best time to resume intercourse with my darling husband?????????
I am 4 weeks post op. TAH, BSO. I miss the closeness, if you know what I mean. I do not want to rush and hurt myself. Husband is thoughtful and patient. Any guidance in this area would be appreciated.

Glad to know that someone else is feeling the same way. I was so worried pre-op that I wouldn't be interested, and here I am 2 weeks post-op and we can't wait lol. Although we will wait.... haha. I think it is pretty general as to being about a 6 week wait, and after the doc has ok'd it. Good luck and best wishes!

I'm over 4 weeks post-op myself, but I have to keep reminding my husband (and myself) that I can't have sex until after I get the "OK" from my doc. My 2nd post-op appointment is not until April 3rd - it's really hard to wait that long, especially since my libido has been running into overdrive lately!

We do find other ways to be affectionate and get close. I feel like a teenager with him, sneaking in make-out sessions, but not going all the way.....LOL! Second base at best!

My DH is getting a little impatient too - the feelings are building ... LOL !!
I have to wait until just over 7 weeks post op as my Drs appointment has been changed. I'm nearly 4 weeks post op now, so just another 3 weeks - poor DH !!
If we start any fun though, I won't be able to stop my DH, so its nighty nights without the hanky panky here. !!

1st of all thank you for your repleys. We have found all kinds of ways to be affectionate and get close LOL But I want more of course.... Second base seems like its a long way away. My 2nd post op is April 2nd. My husband has been so great through all of this. I feel like I'm missing out on the best part. I feel like a teenager and if my parents find out I went this far...... I am a world of trouble...HA...HA...HA....... But all in all the the time spent is only going to make it better when the time comes.

I was given to all clear at my 4 week post op. Dr. said to just listen to my body. So I listened and cut the 4 week date by a couple of days, HA. As some of you have said the desire is strong. Is about the only thing on my mind. Everything worked out better than expected and continues to surpass my expectations !!! Good Luck

I am thrilled to hear you guys say the desire is there, that is something I was worried about. Though I do have to say, only 9 days post op and I have found myself thinking about it a lot more often than I would have thought!!!

It's nice to know that you ladies are also feeling like me. On the one hand, I am still uncomfortable and sometimes in pain, but yet I can't WAIT have sex and feel intimate again with my partner.

I think we're all in the same boat!!LOL. My 6 week appt. is not till April 3rd and Dr. made it VERY clear.. no sex till after the appt. She told DH to buy a good book! He said, why did she single me out!? LOL We have my cousin's 18year old DD staying with use right now, so that's cramping our quality time anyway! Can't wait for the go ahead!

It is nice to hear that we do have the desire. I thought I might be without that desire. I seem to think about it to much at this point. Boy... I want...want.... want...LOL. I can hardly wait for the go ahead to! Thanks for all the comments.
