Concerned about bleeding post-op

Hi all had only slight blood staining for first 4 days post op but day 5 bright ed blood and today day 6 dark brown shade. Is this normal. Can get no satisfactory answers from doctor. Just told to monitor over next weeks. Was told before surgery that would have some bleeding for3 to 4 days after op.

Concerned about bleeding post-op

I was told by my doc that I could expect some bleeding till about 10 days post-op. I had it till about day 8. I am on day 14 and still wear a panti-liner for discharge which is ever so slightly pink from time to time.

Of course if you have lots of bright red blood always contact your doctor .

Concerned about bleeding post-op

Gosh ladies! I had no discharge for the first two weeks but didn't really move around due to severe pain. Once I started to move around a lot, I started to have more discharge. Watery pink that has gone a slight bit darker but never bright red. I have been bleeding now for two weeks and feel like it is never going to stop!!! Anyone else bleeding like this? I go through quite a few panty liners a day!! Doc doesn't seem concerned and has me going back to work on Wed. He says because I retained my cervix (he took uterus and ovaries) it has a slight opening and thus it is normal. I don't have a fever ever but.....ok, kind of gross here......it doesn't smell the best most times.
Have a great day ladies!!!

Concerned about bleeding post-op

I had my surgery on the 13 and I'm still bleeding/discharge. I went for my 2 week post-op today and explained it to my Dr. He said that he removed my cervix and had to sew the top part of my vagina together so this incision is healing and it is normal. He said to think of a wound on your hand your going to get diffent color discarge as it heals.

Concerned about bleeding post-op

This is the start of my 6th week - total hysterectomy done the robotic way. I had the bleeding for the 1st two weeks, then a slight discharge; now today I have like a period blood. I am due to go back to work next week, but would rather get this taken care of first. Scared for any more procedures. I've had quite a few before this hysterectomy. The interenal stitches I thought would have dissolved by now. Any advice before I contact the Dr?

Concerned about bleeding post-op

I was told I could have some bleeding for 6 weeks. The 1st few days I had to use big pads now at 2 1/2 weeks I'm still using panty liners if I do much (like walking) I bleed some but I'm still getting some pretty good swelly belly going on. Lots of vaginal and lower abdomen pain.
