Adhesion Disease

My LAVH/BSO was changed to a TAH because the doctor could not get to my ovary laproscopically. She said it was stuck and that I had some kind of adhesion disease. Has anyone else had this? Does it affect other organs? What is it exactly? I'm doing other research on this today as well and will post back any info I find as well.

I don't know that adhesions are a disease as much as a result of abdominal surgery. Have you had surgery previously? I've had 2 c-sections, and the DR found lots of adhesions when he went in for the hysterectomy. My bladder was fused to my uterus, and he had to remove other adhesions in my abdomen. One of the reasons to take it very easy after the hyst is to keep more adhesions from forming. I'm sure you'll find lots of information as you search through this site.
