Any ladies who had a A & P repair or bladder/rectum repair

along with your hysterectomy, my question is, when did you go back to exercising? Like Walking on a treadmill?

before my surgery I would walk in my treadmill for 45 min at 4.0 mph every single day, this equaled 3 miles per day and I would burn about 540 calories give or take. The Dr said I could start walking on it again as soon as I felt up to it but on the LOWEST SPEED and for only 15 min. max a day

Just wondering anyone elses experience with this?

Hi your right down the freeway from me. Be sure to take it easy and not rush into exercise. Even though the TVH is very common it is a huge adjustment for the body as there are blood vessels tied off and a loss of an organ. You definately want the areas healed well before doing any exercise. The weight alone of yur prolapse may have set you up for other prolapses int he future with the bladder an such. I hope your ovaries stay happy and productive its a hard switch to supplement hormones.
Good Luck and its okay to pamer yourself a bit. You've been through alot.
:-)
