Bad, bad Mr. Cancerhead

I am trying my best not to succumb to cancerhead, but it's been getting harder each day. The closer I get to tomorrow and then Thursday, the worse it gets.

Tomorrow I have my 6 month CT scan, but what worries me is that my GP wants me in her office by Thursday afternoon for the results of the ultrasound I had almost 2 weeks ago and the results of the CT scan. I know they found bad case of gallstones on the ultrasound, but she mentioned something else that I didn't quite catch (the conversation was over the phone while I was at work during an exceptionally hectic time and it didn't really hit me until that night). When I tried to schedule the appointment for next week, she told me no, she needed to see me asap after the CT scans.

bad,bad mr. cancerhead man!

Well, I do know that if she tells me it's just gall stones, I will be celebrating because that means it's not cancer!!

Yes, he is bad!! But unfortunately he makes the rounds and doesn't seem to get the hint to stay away!!!

Here's to hoping you only have the gallstones and nothing else to deal with! And can hand him a permanent eviction notice!

Best wishes and hopes to you gal! I hope all will be fine. (I won't hope that it is just gall stones because that wouldn't be fun either!) Try to breathe! I hope you can huff and puff and blow away that darn idiot mr. cancerhead. I wish for you an uneventful doctor visit. -Terri

(((VP)))

Agreed. Cancerhead !! I also agree with folky that gallstones don't sound like much fun, either, but it is amazing how one's perspective is changed after a cancer diagnosis. Just about anything other than cancer is a big (Gallstones . . . malaria . . . leprosy . . . monkey-pox . . . just kidding -- hoped to make you )

Big hugs to you while you wait . . .

Hang in there!!

Thanks for the laugh monami, I really needed it!!

And you're right about perspective changing after cancer. I told DH that gallstone/gallbladder surgery sounds easy compared to cancer.

Just remember that we are all here for you and wishing you an uneventful doctor visit.... What is your ct scan of? I have to have an ab, chest and pelvic done as soon as I get the insurance details straightened out... This will be my first...And only 3 mo. after surgery... but then I haven't had any further treatment as yet...

vikingprincess ,

I had a CT scan done a couple of weeks ago due to some pain and after the scan was done the tech came back and said "oh, the doctor want a few more pictures"! Cancerhead started really bad at that moment! I get to work and my Gyn/Onc left me a message that she had my CT results and we needed to discuss them right away. Cancerhead was fully engaged by this time. It is never good news when you hear from the doctor less than an hour after your test. I had to wait 4 torturous hours to hear back form the doctor because she was in surgery but the AWESOME news is that it is ONLY A KIDNEY STONE! She thought I was nuts and not taking it seriously. All I could say was who cares it is not cancer! Hopefully you will be saying "who cares it is only gallstones!"

Best of luck and let us know how your appointment goes.

Update!!

Saw my GP today and got the results of all of my recent tests - NO CANCER FOUND!!!!

However, it is gall stones (but only gall stones) and I have to see a surgeon to have them removed before it becomes "an emergency" because some of them measure 1.5 cm (pretty big). Should have seen her face when I started laughing and cheering

Yeah, cancer definitely does a round on the brain

Thank you all for your prayers and support!! It means the world to me

Ha! I'll bet the look on your doc's face was priceless! Congrats on NO CANCER!! Sorry about the gallstones, but I'm sure that will be a piece of cake compared to everything else.

Now, go out and celebrate!!!

Cheers!!!
