Vitamin C

Hi Sisters, I read that Vitamin C can help you to recover by giving your immune system a boost, your supose to start taking it a week or two before surgery. Has anyone tried this?

You will want to check with your doctor before taking certain meds/vitamins/supplements before surgery. I was told to stop taking Vitamin C two weeks before my surgery because it can thin the blood.

I was told I cant touch Vitamin C before or after surgery for up to a month or vitamin that has vitamin E in it for that matter ... something about how it effects the blood ... not pleased since I've yet to find a medication that I can take that even works as a pain killer (ya think 150mg of demoral or higher would work, but no not even close - sighs/growls).
