Headaches & nausea?

I need some advice please.........
I started taking (1mg estrogen, 2mg testosterone) trouches on Tuesday at 12pm. By 4pm I had a severe headache and nausea. I woke up the next morning with a headache and nausea and took another trouche at the same time. By Thursday I was feeling depressed and lethargic and there didn't seem to be anything I could do for the headache and nausea. I called the compounding pharmacy and they suggested I skip a dose or halve a dose. I decided to skip a dose and by 4pm on Thursday I felt *fantastic*. I decided to try half a trouche on Friday but by the afternoon I had a (less severe) headache and nausea. I also have a wierd *wired* feeling like I am over caffeinated. I feel like I have an electric current running under the skin and I have trouble laying still in bed. Sounds crazy.....I know. and I'm still having night sweats.:burning:

Would progesterone help?
Should I persevere with the Rx I have now?
Is this the three week wall you all talk about?

Any advice greatly appreciated. I will be able to speak to my on Monday and hopefully change doses. I'm also taking 20mg Prozac, which I was taking before surgery.

Thanks in advance.

Headaches & nausea?

It definitely sounds like the dose was too high. I don't have any first-hand experience with troches, but 2mg of testosterone seems high. Maybe Lauren can shed some more light on this.
Perhaps you could try halving the dose as you did and if the headaches are very minimal, it may just be the usual adjustment. It does take around 4-6 weeks to see where you are going to be and occassionally in some individuals it can take 3 months for any side effects to go. Not that I would advise putting up with headaches for this amount of time:hair: Also the first 6 weeks after surgery are when you still have some store of your own hormones. A lot of women start low and work their way up to an optimal level - maybe that is what would alleviate your problems.
