Confused about medications, PLEASE help me! So sad!

I had my surgery on Dec. 19, 2007. I am 27 years old. I was put on Estrasorb (the cream) it took about 2 weeks and I felt “normal” again. Then I went for my 4 week check up and he gave me Divgel, I started on it in middle Feb. It took me about 2 weeks to adjust “again”. Then on Sat. April 12 I went to get my Digvel and the pharmacy told me that they didn’t get it in, I called on Thursday to give them time to order it. No body had any in stock either….after some conversation and crying they gave me the Estrasorb. It has been almost 2 weeks and I have not adjusted YET! I go to the doctor on Monday and I need to discuss my options. I can’t live like this!

I feel like I am on an emotional rollercoaster and that no body on earth understands how I feel. My children are driving me crazy, and they aren’t doing anything out of the norm (they are 2 ˝ and 16 months boys). My husband just breathing is setting me off. I feel like I am being “fake” having to smile and pretend that I am ok when on the inside I am dying. I set in my room crying last night because I just “can’t get it together”. I am on Prozac and know that works, it’s my hormones. I have friend who “naturally” went through this, I got thrown into it and desperately need some advice from women who have /are where I am. What medications do you take, change my diet, take vitamins, whatever you can tell me I will greatly appreciate!

PLEASE help me!
Thanks,

You are not alone, this is exactly how I felt after my surgery. I am34 and was a very content adjusted person until my surgery. Then I felt just like you discribed.
first realize that you are on a journey and that not one pill is the magic pill it may take some time. Not years but perhaps a few months. I felt better when I did some research, go to the library, and check out the Survivors guide to surgical menopause site, it is very good. Exercise really helped with the crabbies and so did sleep. Give yourself lots hugs and water and find a babysitter if you can for some half days.
You will get better. Take heart and have courage!
