Enjuvia?

Hello All and i'm glad i was directed here, I had my LAVH on 3/5/08 my doc put me on the highes dose of premarin...which i was not happy about..horse urine come on, i just couldnt do it, anyway it sisnt make me feel any better, worse actually, i used for 3 weeks and then nothing for 3 weeks, i feel better in some aspects and worse in others, i found this week to be a rough one with moods, sweats, and sleep..My doc gave the enjuvia and i havent started it yet, but he gave me the highest dose of 1.25 to start i'm 35 and he said i'm too young to start at a low dose we will increase it every year...hmm i really wanted to start low..i hate meds, i am a migraine sufferer extremely bad and just want to make sure they dont come on from new meds..I have a lot of anxiety too begin with (premarin really jumped started it) I was taking valuim 2.5 mg too sleep it was really lite i knew i would get a good soild 4 hours (made me happy) with no hangover feeling..since they cant give me that they wanted to try the lunesta..does anyone get a hangover feeling from that one? Do you take your enjuvia in the morning or night? which do you think is best? Sorry for all the questions..I am more interested in the bioidenticals so its custom made to everyones own needs...i keep telling my doc we are not one size fits all..he doesnt get it. All i know is they take your blood and see what you need and then create from there, a friend of mine (well some i talked too shes been on it for a year and loves it..I do wonder if these all have different affects depending on age..i havent lost a pound since surgery i hope i dont gain anymore..but i think i'm gonna try it the enjuvia unitl i find a bio doc, or you think i should wait? its beens like i said 3 weeks cold turkey, been a little pyshco i will admit...i even tried to turn the TV up with my cell phone LOL i think i need something. Have a great day ladies love reading the posts..

Enjuvia?

sweetpea, I was started by my dr on the lowest dose first and was increased every two weeks to the next dose as that is about how long each new dose would last before I was back to hotflashes and night sweats. I have been on .625 for about 6 weeks now. Everything was going great and then lately.....hot flases seem ot be returning so we are talking about increasing it AGAIN. I take it in the night just before bed. I take so many other pills that that was a time that did not have anything else to be taken....that and it is when I could remember since it is night sweats that wake me up LOL! Good luck to you and let me know what you find out. I am still in search of what is best. I am 38 and figured I will be taking something for awhile.

Enjuvia?

I am surprised at your doctor's theory about the high dose. I am 37 and my doctor started me at the lowest of .3 and now I am on .625 and that is as high as I am going. To supplement it, my doctor gave me Effexor xr 75 mg and I was leary about it as it is an antidepressant that helps with the flashes but I am so happy with it. No more night sweats and the anxiety is gone altogether. I have been on the Effexor a month now and have not gained weight or had any side effects at all. I would really question the theory of going so high on the dose of estrogen as it is really not great for you. As for bioidenticals, I think Enjuvia is pretty good and plan to stick with it as it has worked fine for me. Good luck.

Enjuvia?

Well, I can't use anti-d's to supplement the hormones. It doesn't take much at all to stop the physical symptoms but it tkaes a pretty good dose to stop the forgetfulness and mood swings. I don't even mind the mood issues as much as I do the forgetfulness. I've forgotten to plan meetings and transportation and several other things when trying to use just a little bit. I'm better off with nothing mentally than I am with just a little...the anti-d's don't stop the memory issues for me.
