Vaginal cuff pressure and pain-Normal?

Vaginal cuff pressure and pain- Normal?? I had a LAVH/BSO on April 1 (has been 4 weeks now). Ever since then, when I cough or sneeze I feel a tightness and pain in the pelvic floor/vaginal cuff area. I'm assuming that it's because of the vaginal cuff, that the area is sewn together so that's where the tightness is coming from (?), but I'm not sure. It had started to feel better, but this morning I sneezed really hard (I couldn't control it), and I felt alot of pressure in that area (and pain), when I sneezed.

Even now that it's been over an hour that it happened, I still feel some residual pain and pressure. Has anyone else felt this too? Is it normal? When does it go away? Thanks for your help.

I had alot of pressure & pain in my vagina. I went to the Dr and I had a vaginal cuff infection as well as, a bladder infection. You might want to go to the Dr and get it checked out.

Thank you ladies for your responses. I really appreciate your advice and what your experiences were. I'm sorry to hear that you have/had problems like this too.

Sw34, are you doing better now from your infections? Hope you're feeling better.

Jennifer: When do you see your doctor again. That pressure and pain is a real pain isn't it?! When do you go to the doctor again? Please let me know what he says. I don't go for my 6 week check up until next Thurs May8.
