laser surgery for fibroids

hi all, i'm in early 50's with 2 melon-sized fibroids. they create pressure and partially obstruct the ureters. there is a family history of pancreatic cancer (father and brother) and am not sure if this is pertinent to treatment. trying to find info about laser surgery for fibroids. has anyone had this procedure? thanks so much for your input.

I'm sorry you are dealing with fibroids... and melon-sized ones at that! Yikes. Mine weren't big, but they did cause troubles. I'm not quite sure if you are asking about hysterectomy using laser, or myomectomy (just removing the fibroids) but am including several links with good info for you to read through. Many times fibroids are fine to leave alone, and the decision is more a quality of life issue, but sounds like you have more to consider and will need to protect your kidneys from possible harm if your ureters are being partially obstructed.
