No internal check at 6 week post-op

I had a TAH RSO and had my 6 week post-op visit today. Doctor never did an internal exam or anything. Basically, all he did was check my incision and said I don't have to come back anymore.

How does he know everything is okay if he didn't check?

HUH not sure about that one, I go for mine on May 13, I am sure he will do one

Just curious, did you have a 2 week check? What did he do during that one?

At the 2 week post-op he just checked my incision.

My doctor didn't even do that, so I'll be curious about my 6 week, too.

That sounds odd.At my 6-week I had an internal. He said he needed to make sure everything was healing on the inside as well. Take care maybe check with Dr nurse.

The Dr did my internal at 4 weeks but he said everything was healing good and I did not need to go back.

That is very odd. I think I would call. Did he release you for normal activities? What about sexual intercourse? How does he know you are healed?

I would definately call the Dr office. I only had 1 post-op checkup @ week 4 & just assumed b/c I had had such a great recovery that everthing was just perfect "in there"---nope -- Dr said some stitches still had not healed & she kept me on some restrictions a few more weeks.

That does not sound right. I know they are supposed to check our vaginal cuff for healing in there and mine wanted me to get another ultrasound too, to check how all the scar tissue may be affecting things in there. Hmmmm...I would ask him why no internal check, because I know they are supposed to.

check ( lasted 2 minutes), and also checked the incision.
