Is this estrogen level low?

My bloodwork recently came back at 55.7 pg/ml for estrogen level. That seems low to me. Dr said was fine
I am 47 years old and had TAH in 2004. I am on highest patch dosage of vivelle dot (.1) that got me to 55.7

I dont think estrogen is high enough as I dont feel "myself"

does anyone use more than one patch to get more estrogen? I have heard that some put several on to get to their best level.

Just want to feel good again!!

That seems pretty low to me. Since you are feeling like you are low, you probably are!

Is this estrogen level low?

According to Dr. Vliet's book Screaming to Be Heard, target ranges for estradiol are above 90-100 pg./ml. She mentions that levels below this are too low to maintain a feeling of well being. According to her, levels below 70-80 pg. causes increased bone loss to occur after menopause. Levels above 80 pg/ml are necessary to maintain cardiovascular, bone, brain and bladder effects. Below that level, according to her, you start to lose some of the estrogen benefits.

I think some women have higher needs for estrogen that others. Some will feel good on lower levels than others. I am in the dark as far as my estrogen level is concerned as my doctor doesn't believe in testing levels.
