Stabbing pain on left side ~ anyone else?

okay..whats going on? TAH RSO on 4/23 and today I went for my walk and was slower than yesterday and now in pain again on left side. I didnt lift or do anything I shouldnt have and now concerned that something is wrong. No bleeding...just pain inside and of course @ incision. can be moving and all of sudden stabbing pain inside that will almost buckle my knees...usually on left side (where one ovary is left). Is anyone experiencing this or should I call dr. tomorrow? Dont want to be crybaby..just dont want to do anything that is going to set me back.....thank you ladies....

Call the doctor!

Jaczin: I would definitely call the doc tomorrow. That seems strange. Maybe you developed a cyst on that ovary that just burst and that is what the sharp pain was. You can still get functional cysts or or any kind of cyst, being you still have an ovary and it sounds almost like an ovarian cyst pain. I'm not a doctor though, so definitely talk to the doc and let us know what they tell you to do. Hope you feel better.

Jaczin: I am 11 wks post-op (TAH) and still have sharp abd. pains, especially on the days that I'm on my feet most of the day at work. Unfortunately, I still go back and forth - good days, bad days. It is getting easier, but I think this week was just an unusually rough one at work.
DO call your Dr. to make sure, and it'll give you peace of mind too. Everyone is different and heals at different paces, as I'm finding out. I do hope there's nothing seriously wrong. Let us know how you're doing & what your Dr says.

The pain could be the nerves regenerating. I have sharp pains sometime on the right sometimes on the left. I called my Dr and he said it was from the nerves regenerating. He said take it easy and slow down on what you are doing until you feel better.

This could be your pains. I would still call your Dr for your own piece of mind

I have a stabbing pain that comes and goes on the right side. It's just around the bottom rib.

I went back to work this week, and this morning I have sharp pain on the right side. I knew I had overdone it this week, and I guess my body is confirming my assessment. I plan to take it very easy this weekend.

Any new pain needs to be reported to your doctor, especially severe pain. Give the doctor a call...s/he may want you to come in to be sure everything is healing as it should.

Hope you feel better soon.

Call your doctor.

I had my LASH on 4/23, so we are at the same spot. I had an ultrasound for the left and right pains I have been having. I have a cyst on my left ovary, which probably has burst and should absorb and quit hurting, of course they can't give a time frame on this little detail, then I have to have a hidascope for the right pain to check my gallbladder and liver.

You should never ignore pain, especially sharp pain.

Best of luck

D
