How long does it take Testosterone to "kick" in?

I have been taking Estratest fs for not quite two weeks now and haven't notived any change in anything except for hot flashes and I seem to have a headache about 90% of the time. I called my doc a few days ago and his nurse told me to try taking it at nighttime and give it another week or two. Can anyone from their own experience tell me how long it took them for it to kick in? I'm getting a little worried that I will never have a decent libido again. I have thought about trying to cream, rather than a pill. Any advice? Thank you.

I take the compounded testosterone cream and it has worked well for me. It probably took a good two weeks before I noticed anything. It hasn't made me a horn dog or anything just made me think about sex and actually initiate it and enjoy it! Just like before I had hyster.

I too use compounded cream. I started with .5 mg/day and then upped to 1.0 and within a few weeks (probably 3 or so), I subtly began thinking about sex more and more. It has really really helped me. (Better than pre-surgery )

I started using testosterone 2% on March 14th. It worked at first but now it doesn't seem to be working. This is so frustrating! I'm going to e-mail my Dr. On the light side.....my 14 year old son evidently had been in my medicine cabinet....he wallked down the hallway and asked loudly....."Mom, what's a vulva?"

I'm using Estratest HS (started in December) and the testosterone kicked in after a couple of days. For the first week or so I was loving it but now it seems to have diminished.

I took Estratest and it kicked in immediately, but then it diminished as well.

I take estratest HS and it worked in about 2 weeks, then I had to back off, to half a pill because it was a little to much. Give it more time and the idea of taking it at night is good. Take it with a little food.
