Overwhelmed X 4

A2.

I've just joined this forum and not only am I feeling overwhelmed with myself but now trying to navigate around this website with all the accessories ... fonts, smilies (grrrr). and sooo many options. I've been trying to post something for days, ( in small time frames ) and becoming increasing frustrated.

Today, I'm 3 wks. post-op. What is going on... random 'bursts' into tears, ridiculously low amounts of energy ... ???

{{{cmdk}}} Hello and Welcome!!!

it can be a little daunting at first, but the site is amazing. Full of knowledge, information and wonderful sisters willing to lend a shoulder and a hug!!!

Have you spoken to your dr. about what you are experiencing? What type of surgery did you have? Did you leave your ovaries? Are you on HRT if not? I would suspect its changing hormone levels, but I would definitely consult your dr.

As far as posting, if its easier, just quick post and don't go advanced. That way you don't have to worry about smilies, etc.

I will keep you in prayer. Try to keep you head up.

Blessings,

Take a deep breath and relax. When I first started looking at the site, I too was overwhelmed. Definately talk with your doctor about your feelings. I hope everything calms down for you. I will be sending you good wishes.

As far as the site goes just keep it simple and to the "Quick Reply" until you are feeling brave enough to do some of the more advanced stuff. As far as your hormones go check with your doc and see if you kept your ovaries and if not talk to him about HRT. Many hugs {{{{{cmdk}}}}} and take care of yourself.

Hi cmdk and

The early post-hysterectomy time is not easy for most of us. The symptoms you describe are very, very common. I had a "textbook" complication-free surgery and recovery, and it still took me many months of gradual recovery to start feeling like myself again.

Do you have an upcoming post-op appointment with your doctor scheduled? If your low mood and lack of energy persists, please inform your medical provider. Help is available, so there is no need for you to have to suffer.

Many s and Best Wishes,
Reply
